In 1958, Ruth Kyle — a school teacher, artist, and passionate gardener — purchased the home with plans to retire by the sea and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the coast. Several of Ruth’s original paintings still hang throughout the home today, preserving a small piece of the property’s history and character. Over the years, the home became a cherished gathering place for family and friends, filled with summers on the deck, long walks on the beach, clam-digging adventures, and unforgettable holidays by the ocean.

The family opened the upper unit as a vacation rental in 2011 so others could experience the same peace, comfort, and connection to the coast that the family has treasured for decades. Today, Kyle Twin View remains a family-owned coastal retreat, committed to preserving the home’s history while providing a welcoming and relaxing stay for guests visiting Rockaway Beach.
